SpringBoard is excited to announce our latest strategic partner: essaypop. Writing is one of the most essential skills students develop in our classrooms, but learning to write—and write well—is hard work. And teaching students how to write can be equally intimidating. Our partnership with essaypop, beginning in the 24-25 academic year, provides SpringBoard ELA students with a state-of-the-art scaffolding experience for writing. With integrated support across SpringBoard’s units and texts, essaypop breaks down writing into key components through template-based writing practice and reflective feedback from peers and teachers.
Essaypop simplifies the essay writing experience and empowers students to express their thoughts and ideas effectively. The platform uses customizable essay templates, step-by-step guidance, and real-time feedback, enabling students to become confident and proficient writers.
"We are honored to be included as a SpringBoard partner," said essaypop founder Michael Hicks. "We know that kids struggle with writing more than ever, so it’s gratifying to know that our step-by-step method will be available to make life easier for such a diverse audience of students and teachers."
SpringBoard is committed to helping all students excel in the ELA classroom, with embedded scaffolding in every lesson. Our partnership with essaypop takes that commitment to scaffolding to an even deeper level when it comes to writing. Students will soon be able to dive into SpringBoard’s writing activities with the added support of essaypop’s templates, guided instruction, and collaboration tools. And teachers will benefit from additional time-saving tools such as scoring, the ability to customize prompts for groups of students, and essaypop’s reporting to identify trends in student writing.
“We couldn’t be more pleased to join forces with essaypop and connect teachers and students to the practical writing support essaypop offers. The blank page can be intimidating, but essaypop’s built in scaffolding for SpringBoard’s prompts offers students the support they need to find their voice as writers.” -- Jessica Brockman, Senior Director, SpringBoard Product Management
